Matsuri Bowl has become a neighborhood staple. Everything I've tried on the menu has been above and beyond. There's a huge selection-I could truly eat here everyday. Friendly environment and delicious Japanese comfort food...what more could you ask for.

Rice was smelly and not fresh and tonkatsu tasted so bad. It is probably frozen one.
It's very pricy for the quality of the food.

Not bad in a pinch. Went on a Friday night. It was nearly empty(!) The Oyako Don Bowl is gluten free and delicious. The Seaweed Salad is huge, light and delicious. The Katsu Don Bowl is NOT gluten free (and my friend said it was good).
The beverage cooler has an iced coffee in there, if you need a pick-me-up.
The clerk running the front counter was obviously stressed but definitely friendly. I will return. -

3 1/2 STARS, I got the pork katsu don and it was good. For under $11 it was freshly made and quick! The owner greeted me when I came in and was very pleasant. He told me they are an off spring from the restaurant in Pasadena and have been around over a year.

Love this place. It's affordable big delicious Japanese comfort food! The menu is large but has all the essentials like curry, poké combo plates etc. I had chicken catsu curry, a crunchy roll and a poke bowl. They were all generously portioned, very fresh and tasty. The rice is so good here. You can tell the ingredients are quality. I can't wait to come back here again to try more of the menu
